In recognition of the fundamental role of private universities in promoting higher education, research, and innovation globally, and with the aim of fostering collaboration, the exchange of best practices, and the representation of their common interests, the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES (IFPU) is hereby established.

APPLETON PRIVATE UNIVERSITY, acting in response to the request of more than sixty (60) private universities from various nations, takes the initiative in the foundation of this Federation.

The IFPU shall have the following objectives:

• Foster collaboration: Establish and strengthen cooperative links between private universities at an international level.
• Exchange best practices: Facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and successful models in areas such as academic management, research, innovation, internationalization, and funding.
• Representation and advocacy of interests: Act as a collective voice for private universities before international organizations, governments, and other stakeholders, defending their legitimate rights and interests.
• Promotion of quality: Promote and support initiatives that contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of education, research, and services offered by private universities.
• Fostering diversity and inclusion: Promote diversity in access to higher education and the inclusion of different perspectives and cultures within private universities.
• Support for development: Contribute to the development of higher education in different regions of the world, especially in developing countries.
• Organization of events: Hold congresses, seminars, workshops, and other activities that facilitate the exchange of ideas and the creation of networks among member universities.
• Dissemination of information: Collect, analyze, and disseminate relevant information on the private higher education sector globally.

• Founding Members: These are those private universities that signed the initial request for the establishment of the IFPU and participated in its foundation, including APPLETON PRIVATE UNIVERSITY.
• Adhering Members: All legally constituted and recognized private universities by the competent authorities of their respective countries may become adhering members of the IFPU, provided they apply for membership and meet the requirements established in the Internal Regulations of the Federation.

Duties of Members

• Rights of Members:
• Participate with voice and vote in the General Assembly.
• Elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the IFPU.
• Benefit from the services and activities organized by the Federation.
• Access the information and documentation of the IFPU.
• Submit proposals and suggestions to the governing bodies.
• Use the IFPU logo and name in accordance with the established rules.
• Duties of Members:
• Comply with these Statutes and the Internal Regulations.
• Pay the membership fees established by the General Assembly.
• Actively participate in the activities of the Federation.
• Promote the objectives of the IFPU.
• Provide the information requested by the Federation for the fulfillment of its purposes.
• Keep the IFPU informed of any relevant changes in their legal or academic status.

• Vice President 1 (Global Relations): Responsible for international relations and membership expansion.
• Vice President 2 (Academic Affairs): Responsible for academic quality and educational innovation.
• Vice President 3 (Finance/Administration): Responsible for financial and administrative management.
• COMMITTEES:
• International Relations Committee: Fosters collaboration with other international organizations.
• Global Membership Committee: Promotes IFPU membership worldwide.
• Communication & Marketing Committee: Manages the IFPU's image and communication.
• Academic Curriculum Committee: Oversees the quality of academic programs and curricular innovation.
• Research & Development Committee: Promotes research and development in member universities.
• Finance & Dues committee: Manages finances, and membership fees.
• Administration & Legal Committee: Manages IFPU legal and administrative affairs.
• GENERAL SECRETARIAT: Responsible for operational management and coordination of IFPU activities.
• GLOBAL ADVISORY COUNCIL: Provides strategic advice and expertise to the IFPU.
